Frederick County has two dairy farms that offer fresh on-the-farm ice cream and a variety of fresh, all-natural dairy products. As Maryland’s largest producer of dairy sales, Frederick County farmers produce $53M in dairy products annually. South Mountain Creamery was Maryland’s first on-the-farm dairy processing plant, leading the way for future creameries in the area.
