Share Your Agriculture Support
Some Frederick County farmers offer a certain number of “shares” to the public. Typically, the share consists of whatever bounty the farmer produces. Interested consumers can purchase a share (or subscription/membership) and in return receive a box or bag of seasonal produce each week throughout the farming season. Many farms offer members special, reduced prices, access to pick-your-own items and more.
Many members don’t so much “buy” food from the farm as much as they become “members” of the farm.
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) in Frederick County is becoming increasingly popular thanks to the variety of fresh products grown right here.
